How We Work

Independent by design.

EUROSTROKES sells rigour and independence — and both only mean something if the incentives behind them are visible. This page states, in writing, how we stay independent: of the companies we assess, and of the standards body the founder helps run.

Two audiences rely on EUROSTROKES being honest about the same thing — that a finding is reported as the evidence supports it, not as a commercial relationship would prefer. This is how that is kept true.

Independence from the companies we advise

EUROSTROKES holds no equity in the imaging-AI or stroke-technology companies it advises, and takes no commission on their sales. We recommend clinical pathways, never products. Where the evidence corpus or a network assessment bears on a tool a client sells, the finding is reported as the evidence supports it — and if that is inconvenient to the relationship, the finding still stands.

Identical terms for every licensee

The evidence corpus is licensed on the same terms to everyone who licenses it. There is no preferential tier bought with a partnership, an advisory retainer, or a personal relationship. A hospital and a platform vendor evaluating the same asset see the same price and the same conditions.

The ESO certification role

The founder holds a standards role at the European Stroke Organisation. It is stated here as a disclosure, not offered as a credential — EUROSTROKES does not sell access to certification, and nothing on this site should be read as an offer to influence one.

"The founder chairs the ESO Stroke Unit Certification Committee. EUROSTROKES therefore operates under strict separation: we do not prepare, review, or influence any certification application; certification-readiness consulting is benchmarked against ESO's published criteria only; the founder recuses from any ESO review involving a current or former client."
Three visibly separated layers representing evidence, pathways and independent governance
Evidence, pathway advice and governance remain explicit, documented and separate.

Independence Policy

Version 1.0 · Effective 11 July 2026. This policy is versioned; material changes bump the version and date here.

  1. No equity, no commissions. EUROSTROKES takes no ownership stake in, and no sales commission from, any company whose products it evaluates or advises on.
  2. Pathways, not products. Recommendations are made at the level of clinical pathway and evidence, independent of any specific vendor's product.
  3. Identical licensing terms. The evidence corpus is offered on identical terms to all licensees, with no relationship-based tier.
  4. Certification separation. The founder's role chairing the ESO Stroke Unit Certification Committee is walled off from all EUROSTROKES commercial work: no involvement in any client's certification application, benchmarking against ESO's published criteria only, and recusal from any ESO review touching a current or former client.
  5. Evidence over preference. Where a finding is inconvenient to a commercial relationship, the finding is reported as the evidence supports it.
